NAS Oceana Air Show
September 22 – September 23

The NAS Oceana Air Show is pleased to present the United States Navy’s Blue Angels flight demonstration team along with the Canadian Forces 431 Air Demonstration Squadron, the Snowbirds!  We’ll also have a host of the best civilian and military performers to include Skytypers, Mike Goulian, Kent Pietsch, Bob Carlton and Tactical Demonstrations by the F-22 Raptor and the F/A-18F Super Hornet.  We’re also excited to present the newest AFTERSHOCK Jet Powered Fire Truck!  See our Performer Page for all the details on these and a host of other performances.

We are especially honored to celebrate Naval Station Oceana 75th Anniversary.  Originally opened in 1943 in the mudflats of Virginia Beach, NAS Oceana is now the East Coast Navy’s thriving Master Jet Base and home to all of Naval Aviation’s F-18 Hornets and Super Hornets.

Make sure you arrive early for the NAS Oceana Air Show this year!  Gates open at 8:00 am and ADMISSION AND PARKING ARE FREE.  The flight line will be packed with static displays, food & novelty vendors and plenty of other things for the whole family to enjoy the entire day.  On both Saturday and Sunday, the flying will start at approximately 10 am and the Blue Angels will perform at 3:30 pm and the show ends at 4:30 pm. Neptune’s Surfing Classic
September 8 – 9, 2018

Surfers of all ages take to the ocean in this surf showdown. With prizes to be had, make your mark in the surf of Neptune Festival month. Produced with the Eastern Surfing Association, register online at www.va.surfesa.org or forms can be picked up and turned into Wave Riding Vehicles, Coastal Edge Surf Shop, 17th Street Surf Shop, and Pungo Board House.

The 25th Annual American Music Festival will feature four major headline bands on the Virginia Beach oceanfront 5th Street Main Stage Aug. 31, Sept. 1 and 2. ZZ Top, Goo Goo Dolls, Ziggy Marley and SOJA will celebrate the event’s Silver Anniversary with the return of two of the most popular AMF bands ever: ZZ Top and Goo Goo Dolls!
